Hanoi Motorbike Tour – 1 Day

This is one day Vietnam motorbike tour around Hanoi and Bac Ninh province. The tour offers several beautiful and traditional villages in Hanoi and the ‘next door’ province of Bac Ninh such as Bat Trang ceramic village, Dong Ho folk painting village and beautiful But Thap pagoda. This interesting Hanoi Motorcycle Tour is not suitable to the novices, because the tour passes some busy city roads, so the inexperienced riders or novices had better to join the tour at the back of motorbikes.

Itinerary

The tour starts at 8 AM from city center. We motorcycle ahead to the north of Hanoi to ceramic village of Bat Trang

( Bat Trang is the small village to the north of Hanoi, is about 13 kilometers from city center, on the other side of Chuong Duong bridge.  Why is its name popular to most tourists to northern Vietnam? The answer is its ever famous ceramic and pottery products of high quality. If you have known about Vietnam, you may not be surprised that Bat Trang’s vases, bowls, dishes, and many other kinds of ceramic products have been exported worldwide. After about 30 minute motorbike ride from Hanoi city center, We will have easy walk around the village to see the daily life of the local people and learn more about how to make ceramic or china here. Then getting back to the bikes, we keep riding to the traditional province of Bac Ninh, have local food for lunch in the casual local restaurant and then have another walk to the famous folk painting village of Dong Ho where the local make the traditional paintings and beautiful pagoda But Thap. After that we will motorcycle back to the hotel in Hanoi, finish the interesting Vietnam motorbike tour around Hanoi and Bac Ninh province.

Our tour price is based on NUMBER OF GUESTS (the more people in the group, the less money each person will pay) and TYPE OF BIKES (the smaller bike you take, the less money you will pay). Important Notes

  • Airport pick up/drop off, Support vehicle or Air tickets are not included but they can be arranged depending on your request with the extra cost
  • The extra cost to upgrade to Honda CRF250L is $40 USD/Bike/Day.
  • The extra cost for the backup vehicle + driver is $150 USD/Day.

  • To secure your bookings we require a minimal of 30 % deposit. Balance can be made upon arrival
  • The rider is responsible for any bank charges. ( surcharge 3,5% if you pay by credit card )
  • The balance can be paid by cash or credit on the first day of the trip
  • If you cancel the Vietnam motorbike tour before the departure date, you will lose 100% of the deposit.
  • If you cancel the tour after the departure date, you will lose 100% of the total cost/ fee of the tour for any reason.
  • After departure, NO REFUNDS will be given for any reason, if you cancel the tour.
  • A Damage Cost deposit of US$ 100 – 1,000 or more is required for each motorcycle for using in the guided or self-guided motorcycle tours. In case of a self-caused accident, your own participation is up to US$ 2,000 or more.

3 Day Vietnam Motorbike Tour from Hanoi

This 3 Day Northern Vietnam motorbike tour is one of our best short motorbike tours in Vietnam. Itinerary

Day 1: Hanoi – Mai Chau: 180 Km (L,D – Home Stay)

This Hanoi motorbike tour to Mai Chau valley starts at around 8:30 AM. Ride motorbike to the north west of Hanoi. After one hour riding, we will be in mountain area and the motorcycle tour to Mai Chau becomes very enjoyable. The ride is almost on the small countryside roads along the Da river through rice fields and farming villages, after lunch in Hoa Binh we will ride through plenty of limestone mountain between the rustic village of the Muong and the Thai people. Especially after lunch in Hoa Binh we will have great ride along the Da river lake, the winding road along the rider offer a stunning view of lime stone mountain and the green water lake. The ride will remind you motorcycle tours on coastlines in central or southern Vietnam. This route is the new discovery of Vietnam Motorbike Tour Expert Co, Ltd so it makes the trip different. Arrive Mai Chau valley at around 5 PM.

Day 2: Mai Chau – Phu Yen: 150 Km (B,L,D – Hotel stay)

After saying good bye to the friendly host, get on the bike and have slowly ride around the villages of the Thai people in the valley to feel and taste the hidden charm of region before motorcycling up to Phu Yen. The motorcycle tour to Phu Yen is quite relax, easy and joyful. With the length of 150 km, the road up to Phu Yen is almost quiet, winding and offers a lot of stops for visiting the local ethnic people and picturing amazing view of mountain. In the afternoon, after crossing the Da river lake by a ferry we will have great Vietnam motorcycle tour on the lake bank to Phu Yen. We arrive Phu Yen town at around 4:30 PM.

Day 3: Phu Yen – Hanoi: 165 Km (B,L)

It’s another easy and short motorbike ride to Hanoi. After the traditional breakfast – Pho or noodle soup we keep motorcycle touring in northern Vietnam crossing beautiful Lung Lo mountain pass and then heading down to Hanoi on the backroads until Son Tay town. From Son Tay we keep turning on the backroads via some rice fields on the Red river delta to get on the dike road a long the red river and ride straight back to Hanoi. The short Northern Vietnam motorcycle trip will end in early afternoon in Hanoi.

Itinerary

Day 1: Hanoi – Phu Yen: 165 Km ( L,D – Hotel stay)

The motorcycle tour northern Vietnam starts from your hotel at around 8:30AM, Ride motorbike up to the north of Hanoi on the red river dyke road, passing the some rice paddies then get to Son Tay town ( 40 km from city center of Hanoi) where we stop to visit the peaceful ancient village of Duong Lam before keep riding up north to the mountain area of Yen Bai and Son la province. The motorbike ride become more and more relaxed and enjoyable in the afternoon when we get higher and higher on the mountain where traffic is almost empty and the scenery is amazing.
Arrive hotel in Phu Yen around 4:00 PM, Check in the hotel then back to the bike again and have short motorbike ride to the nearby villages on the back-roads through the peaceful rice fields.

Day 2: Phu Yen Motorbike Tour to Thac Ba lake: 160 Km (B,L,D – Home stay)

After the traditional breakfast – Pho (or rice noodle soup) then keep motorbike touring in north Vietnam up and up hill, crossing some mountain passes, lunch is in Yen Bai town, after lunch take a short motorbike ride to the Dzao’s village of Vu Linh where we do home stay, leave the bikes with the family and have boat trip around Thac Ba lake – the largest man-made one in Vietnam.
Thac Ba Lake covers total area of around 23.400 ha with more tan 1000 islands, It’s know as Halong bay on mountain and the boat trip around the lake is for sure the highlight of this short motorbike tour in northern Vietnam.

Day 3: Thac Ba – Hanoi: 180 Km (B,L)

There are 2 great roads to ride back to Hanoi from Thac Ba Lake:
Option 1: Short Motorbike Ride back to Hanoi: 180 Km.
Ride motorbike southeast to Tuyen Quang province cross some green tea fields, then join the highway going down to Hanoi. Get back to the Red rever dike to ride back to city center Hanoi. Arrive at 4:00 PM.
Option 2: Offroad Vietnam Motorbike Tour to Hanoi: 190 Km
As a Vietnam Motorbike Tour Expert we will take you on longer and much more rugged roads down to Doan Hung town. It’s about 80 km in length but offers you mostly offroad ride, It is short but could be unforgettable offroad motorbike ride in Vietnam. Then from Doan Hung we keep riding on the backroads along the river dike down to Hanoi. Arrive Hanoi and finish short Northern Vietnam motorbike tour at around 5:00 PM.
